Welcome!

Babies. They are cute, cuddly, lovable, kissable little gifts. But let's face it, these incredible little gifts are also incredibly expensive. As a mom of three little ones, I know just how hard it can be to raise a family. Looking for ways to save money is an inevitable conclusion for most families once your party of 2 becomes a party of 3 or 4 or 5! We all want to save money. But being a busy parent does not often leave time to hunt down the best sales. This is where BabyCheapChic comes in. I will do the research for you! Each week I will make postings as to where the great deals are...who has formula on sale...what clothing websites have free shipping...who is giving rebates with pamper purchases, etc. I will also share some great links and tips of DIY projects (why spend $40 on a boutique tutu when you make your own for 75% less?).

I hope together we can save time and MONEY.

Enjoy!

McCormicks Makes Dinner Easy!

I love trying new things in the kitchen, especially since I became a stay at home mom. But, I really hate when I want to try a new recipe and I don't have all the necessary spices. So I go out and buy paprika, lemon zest, yada, yada, yada only to need a pinch of this or a half a tsp of that.  And then those spices just sit on the rack collecting dust, especially if my family doesn't enjoy the recipe. This weekend, I tried McCormick's Dinner Inspirations. I have always been a McCormick's seasoning mixes so I thought I would give it a try.  I was definitely not disappointed. I picked the Apple and Sage Pork Chops recipe kits.  Along with all the necessary spices (paprika, sage, allspice, thyme and garlic), the kit came with simple instructions and a list of other ingredients need. I had mostly everything else needed already in the kitchen (apple juice, apples, onions, flour, salt and brown sugar).

McCormick's Apple and Sage Pork Chops Recipe Inspiration, $1.99

Everything was really simple to do. Mix, brown, saute, simmer and 30 minutes later we had dinner!
Here's the finished product!  Doesn't it look yum? With some garlic mashed potatoes and homemade biscuits, it was a Top Chef-esque menu, if I say so myself. My husband and daughter both loved it. Success!
Don't worry if pork and apples aren't your thing. There are plenty of other Recipe Inspirations to try, including, Caribbean Grilled Steak, Asian Sesame Salmon, Tuscan Chicken Stew and more!
